Items like this are the reason some people have clown phobias.
This paint-by-number kit came from a home clean-out in Billerica, the same origin as the scary eyeless bunny. It came complete with ancient, dried up, never used oil paints. The black “velvet” board with its scary clown face outline was even scarier than this cover, but impossible for me to photograph effectively.
I’m not sure if you can see this from the picture, but under “Craft Master,” it says “The art of creative relaxation.”
I’m guessing it was from the ’70s. Maybe it was worth thousands of dollars to people who collect such things. But it went in the trash, and the box into recycling.
